No School Monday, September 7
I want to thank everyone who came out Saturday to help prepare our fair food booth. Thanks to all of you, we were able to accomplish so much.
As you know, the Warren County Fair will be held September 11-19. We will again be operating our food booth. We need all parents to help us in any way possible. Many workers are still needed for various shifts. Please contact Mrs. Dachelle McVey if you are able to help. This is one of our biggest fundraising projects of the year. Your help is appreciated by all of us.
Many families in Warren County choose to home school their children. There actually may be several services that we here at Boyd can offer those families. We are putting together a database of home school families here in Warren County that we can contact about providing some of these services. If you know of a family that home schools their children, please pass along their name and phone number to us here in the office.
Upcoming Sports Events
9/1...Golf vs. South Pittsburg
9/8...Golf vs. Cannon Co.
9/14...Golf vs. Van Buren Co.

All home golf matches are played at the Reserve at Collins River. We now have girls golf for the first time. Sara Buckner has won her last two matches. If you have a daughter in grades 8-12 who is interested in playing golf, please encourage her to join the team. It is not too late.
Also, we are grateful to the staff at Collins River for taking care of our golf team. Our team is allowed to practice and play at no charge to the players or the school. If you like to play golf, please help us to show our appreciation to the folks at Collins River by patronizing their course.
Welcome to BCS! This is our blog where we update school happenings daily. Mrs. Tabetha Sullens, Principal posts pictures and information for parents, students, staff and guests. Please take your time and get to know us... come see what Boyd Christian School has to offer.

We have had a successful opening to school, and the students seem to be happy to be back. I want to thank all of you who have volunteered time and effort to help us get the school year started.
The School Board would like to invite all parents to a Back to School meeting this Thursday at 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. This is a good opportunity to meet the individuals who serve on our School Board.
As many of you know, we are making preparations to operate our fair food booth. The fair is opens September 11 and closes September 19. We need as many volunteers as we can get. This is one of our biggest and most important fundraisers of the year. If you can help, please contact Mrs. Dachelle McVey.
Our new lunch program seems to working smoothly. The menu will be posted on the school website. Originally, we thought that we would be able to allow students to order food in advance. However, in order to do this, we would have to take student orders two weeks in advance. This probably would be unworkable. However, if your child has some favorite items, we can order m ore of those to make sure that we have sufficient quantity. So far, we are accomplishing our goal of providing healthy lunches in a manner that is cost effective to the school. Early comments by the students are positive. If you would like to send us your comments, please feel free to e-mail me or Mrs. Dietra Dunlap.

Dear Parents,
As many of you know, Boyd Christian School operates a food booth every year at the Warren County Fair. This is a critical fundraiser for the school. This year’s fair will be September 11-19.
The fair food booth is a school-sponsored fundraiser. The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money for operating expenses. Mrs. Dietra Dunlap, our new cafeteria supervisor, is in charge of the event. Many of you have already agreed to volunteer your time to work at the booth, and for that we are very grateful. If you would be willing to assist us in this important project, please contact Mrs. Dunlap at 668-3850. You may also email her at ddunlap@fcbcs.org.
Once again, thanks to all of our parents for all that you do for us.
Sincerely,
Robert W. Harper
