Boyd Christian School hosts a College
Fair Day
Marco DiLuca, Admissions
Counselor for Freed-Hardeman
University , said “I am
thankful for College Fair Days because it gives me the opportunity to recruit
students in person.” The college
representatives talked with the students and provided admissions and
scholarship information. Allison Stiles,
BCS Guidance Counselor, gave all of the freshman, sophomore, and junior
students a packet including ways to jumpstart college planning and an action
plan for each year of high school. The
seniors were given a college expectations & study skills guide, and reminders
about admissions/scholarship deadlines.
The parents of the students were also invited and given a parents’
practical guide to college and financial aid information.
The students were
very excited about the event and enjoyed meeting with the representatives. Junior student, Caleb Rigsby, said “This was
very informative and I’m starting on my college applications this month!” Currently all of Boyd’s high school seniors
have plans to attend college, excluding one student who plans to enlist in the Air
Force. Boyd considered the College Fair
Day to be a huge success and is very grateful to all who participated.
