State average ACT scores are in and we are pleased to announce Boyd Students scored 30. The state average was 16. Great job!
Student Handbook Forms need to be turned in to the front office as soon as possible. They are attached to the back of the Handbook.
Also, three week Progress Reports will be sent home today with students. Please make sure these are returned by Friday, Sept 10, with parent signature.
Fair Booth
Parents, please make sure you have signed up to work at the Fair Food Booth. We also need pies, cobblers, chili, beans and cornbread. Let’s all help make this fundraiser a huge success!
Applefest
The date for Applefest has been set for Saturday, October 9, from 9:00 am-4:00pm. Everyone is invited to participate in the “Chili Cookoff” with the proceeds going toward Boyd School. Trophies will be awarded to the top chili recipes!

A huge thank you goes out to Kelly Roberts-

who led a "Creative Couponing" class in the cafeteria tonight.
45 ladies were in attendance and all proceeds were donated to BCS!
She also actively collects body wash and personal items via her shopping trips and donates those to the elementary teachers for the Nursing Home Project.

Fair Food Booth Clean Up
Saturday, Aug. 28 at 8 am
Please come out and help us get our food booth ready for this year's fair.

This is a reminder that we will have a PTF meeting tomorrow night, 08/17/2010, at 6:30 PM in the BCS cafeteria. Please make plans to attend. The election of 2010-2011 PTF Officers will be held. We will also discuss plans and sign up for the Fair Booth. If you can't attend the meeting, please be sure to sign up to help in the fair booth. There is a sign up sheet in Mrs. Terry Stubblefield's office. We need all parents to sign up for a time. We appreciate all that you do including supporting Christian Education.

I want to thank those who were able to work at BCS on the second scheduled work day, July 31st. I am looking forward to Open House this Sunday; I hope you are too! The BCS campus is really looking good. PTF will have a table set up in the hallway with items to sell on Sunday, so come prepared to get your BCS logo items. The first PTF meeting for the year has been scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday night, 08/17/2010, in the cafeteria at 6:30PM. The main goal for this meeting is for you to elect your PTF Officers; President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Please make plans to attend. Thank you for ALL you do for Christian Education.

PTF wants to thank those who were able to attend the campus clean up day on July 17th. There are still things that need to be done, so we have scheduled another work day for the last Saturday in July, the 31st. We will start at 8:00AM and work as long as needed. Please make plans to attend even if you can only work 1 hour; that is more helpful than you may realize. We want to have the BCS campus looking GREAT for Open House on August 8th.

Campus Clean Up Day

Parents and BCS Supporters,
I hope everyone is having a good summer. It is that time again for ALL of us to come together to clean up the Boyd Christian School campus. Clean up day has been scheduled for Saturday, July 17th starting at 8:00 AM. If we are not able to work this day due to rain, the work day will be re-scheduled for the following Saturday, July 24th. Please bring any tools such as pressure washers, gloves, chain saws- anything to trim limbs with, blowers, weed eaters, paint brushes, drills with screwdriver capability, and any other items you think may be needed. We will work as long as needed this day. Please make plans to help on this day even if you can’t stay long. Remember, this will be the day we come together to get the campus ready for Open House which is scheduled for Sunday, August 8th. Thank you for ALL you do for Christian Education.
