Our Philosophy and Purpose
It is the philosophy and purpose of F.C. Boyd, Sr. Christian School to provide a Christian atmosphere in which students may acquire knowledge and skills necessary to function to the very best of their ability in a rapidly changing community, environment, and society. Pursuant to this, students will be given the opportunity to develop their capacities for higher order thinking, working, creating, and gaining an appreciation for life.
The school strives to provide a curriculum which will equip all students with the knowledge, tools, and attitudes that will provide the basis for present and future learning experiences.
A systematic effort will be made to assist each student in understanding himself/herself, to recognize his/her native ability and learn good behavior patterns while working in cooperation with others. The faculty will be working to instill a positive concept for life with emphasis on human rights and responsible actions while living in a democratic society.
In addition to developing and maintaining basic skills, it is our purpose to encourage creative and imaginative thinking. The school has a commitment to provide the individual with an opportunity to enjoy art, literature, and physical education, therefore developing some avocational activities which can recreate the body, mind, and spirit.
The Bible will always be the center focus of our curriculum.
