From the Superintendent
I am happy to announce to you that this year’s Senior Graduation will be Thursday evening May 28, beginning at 7:00. This year’s Graduation will be held at the Central Church of Christ. We are so grateful to the Central Church for letting us use their beautiful auditorium for this special event.
On Tuesday, November 4, we will be having Bring a Friend to School Day. This is the only day of the year that we will be in school when Warren County Schools are closed. We are asking all students in grades K-11 to talk to their friends who might be interested in attending Boyd. We would like for each student who is able to bring one friend to school with them on that day. This will give their friends an opportunity to see what life here at Boyd is like. More information will be sent home soon.
Please return school picture orders to school by this Thursday, October 9.
Please remember that our first Parent Teacher Conferences will be tomorrow, Tuesday, October 7, from 3:15 to 6:00. Please contact the school to schedule your conference.
The girls’ basketball team will have a bake sale on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
Important Parking Announcement
Parking policy: Please remember that the high school parking lot is for teacher and student parking only! If you need to park and come into the school building, please park in the outside lane in the driveway or in the gym parking lot. Also, please do not pull into the high school parking lot to drop off students. The high school lot is very small, and when there is additional cars coming into the lot in the mornings, it makes it difficult for students to park. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Help Needed with Extended Care
We are looking for additional help for our extended care program. If you are interested, please contact Terry Stubblefield at school.

New Gym Lights
I want to thank Steve Tilton, Ben Nixon, Brent Warren, and Wally McClarren for their role in getting new globes for our gym lights. The globes were donated through a contact of Mr. Tilton, and he, along with Mr. Nixon, Mr. Merritt, and Mr. McClarren spent considerable time last weekend installing them. The light in the gym is much brighter and better with them. It is a tremendous improvement. Thank you again.
Book Fair News
Thank you to all of you who helped with our Book Fair. I especially want to commend our librarian, Mrs. Shelley Rhoton, for her hard work. She raised $2,300 for the library.
