Get Your BCS ON!

PTF is now selling BCS scarves and tobogans.
They are the royal blue color with the BCS letters in orange outlined in white. A scarf is $15 and a tobogan is $12. You may contact Kristi Judkins, Angela Ramsey, Melissa Brock, or Kim Rigsby to purchase one of this items at this time. The tobogans haven't come in yet, but should be in this week or the beginning of next week. We will be setting up a table to sell these items soon, so watch for us at BCS events. Thank you for all of your support of Christian Education at Boyd Christian School.

Parents of 8th Grade students:
The EXPLORE Test Results are being sent home today, Thursday, 12/10/09. Along with their score report, the actual test questions are being sent home so that you can go over any problems your child did not get correct. Their score report tells the answer they chose and what the correct answer was. This is a great tool to help your student learn from the test. Please contact the teacher for an explanation if you do not understand the question your child did not get correct. (Last year teachers were asked to go over the problems that some students got incorrect during classroom time.) The EXPLORE is the practice test that PREPARES STUDENTS FOR THE ACT TEST. The ACT Test (along with the student's grade point average) determines whether or not students receive the LOTTERY SCHOLARSHIP. They need a score of 21 or a 3.0 grade point average. They will take another practice test, the PLAN Test, in 10th Grade. Then they will start taking the ACT Test and can take it more than once to try to improve their score. Gayle Mayfield

From the Superintendent

Please remember that the next PTF meeting will be tonight, November 30, at 6:30 PM.

Our annual Christmas program is scheduled for Sunday, December 13, at 2:00 in the afternoon. Please mark this date on your calendars and plan to join us.

LACE is once again having their annual pecan sale. They have arrived and are $7.50 per bag.

Mr. Robert Simonds will present a instrumental music demonstration tomorrow for our middle and high school students. This is designed to help us learn if there is sufficient interest in an instrumental music program and a band for our middle and high school students. Mr. Simonds is a recently retired music teacher who has had several years of experience directing school bands. Among other accomplishments, Mr. Simonds had a band which marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade several years ago. Mr. Simonds will be joining us for a demonstration assembly on Tuesday, December 1, right after our morning chapel.

On Wednesday, December 2, at 9:15 there will be a demonstration by Warren Co. EMS for elementary students. They will also present a demonstration for middle school students on Thursday, also at 9:15.
