Second Grade Visitor

Mrs. Newby invited two guests, David and Tena King, to come speak about and represent the family and farm life during the  1800's to go along with her history study. The students engaged in shucking corn, grinding corn, making cornbread and milking cows. The students appeared to have really enjoyed the visit.

Mr. Darby's Ion Experiment

Mr. Darby hosted another one of his famous experiments today. Allie Shaye was brave enough to test it out. She did feel a "tingle" from the charge that occurred from the citric acid in the lemon. The students were all engaged in the experiment.

Uniform Addition

Dear Parents,

As the weather grows cooler, we have decided to allow button down "oxford" style shirts as part of the uniform.  We hope  this will allow some of you to use clothing you have for church and not have to purchase more.  Please ask your children to continue to dress respectfully and present themselves in the best manner possible as representatives of BCS.

Blessings,
Mrs. Sullens

Cheerleaders

We are proud to announce that Mrs. Aimee Beilling is the new cheerleading sponsor for grades 2-8. Bella and Braylin are all smiles after the first home basketball game last night! GO BRONCOS!!!

Spanish IV

The Spanish IV class invited me for bunuelos wheels and coffee this morning. Claire was absent, but her peers were all on task as they translated The Lord's Prayer in Spanish along with teacher Amy Corley. We are so blessed to have Amy as part of our faculty. The one-on-one teaching instruction in this classroom is invaluable! These students will be very prepared for college.

Bucky

Bucky made an appearance at the first home basketball game last night!

Nestor Stewart Roast Success!

Over 100 guests visited Central when we honored Mr. Nestor Stewart last Thursday night. He spoke of three main points: Godliness, hard work and honesty... the three main things we strive to teach at Boyd Christian School. When he spoke we were moved to tears and then quickly to laughter. What a blessed evening. Nestor encompasses humility and work ethic. What an honor to be able to Roast him.  We look forward to the next annual Roast... who will it be?

I asked some of our student body to attend to represent those students whom Nestor has helped through the numerous donations for man years. His influence at Boyd is invaluable.
