Spring Open House

On Thursday evening, March 25, we will host an Open House for prospective students and their families from 6:00 to 8:00 PM here at school. This is a very important event as we make plans for next year. Please encourage your friends and associates who may be considering sending their children to Boyd to come and join us for this evening. This will be an excellent opportunity for visitors to see our school and to meet the teachers. Guests may feel free to drop in at any time during the evening.

Thank you to all of you who completed the recent online survey which was mentioned in a previous newsletter. We have started a new survey about the school climate/environment. Please take a few moments this week and complete the survey. The deadline to complete the survey is next Monday, March 8. Again, this is an important step in our accreditation process. The link for the new survey is:

Last week the School Board set tuition for the 2010-2011 school year. Tuition in grades 1-12 will be $370 per month, for eleven months, beginning with the July 5 payment. There will also be a technology fee of $25 per student to assist with upgrading the school’s technology. The registration fee will continue to be $250, or $200 if paid no later than April 15. Tuition in grades PK-3, PK-4, and KG will be $293 per month.

Spring school pictures will be taken on March 11. This will not be the day for kindergarten cap and gown pictures, however. Those photos will be taken at a later date.

Report cards will be distributed Tuesday, March 2. Parent-Teacher conferences will be Tuesday, March 9.

Talent Show Saturday, March 13

Please remember the Talent Show on Saturday evening, March 13. Interested students should sign up in the front office.

We are still in desperate need of a couple of volunteers who would be willing to work up to ten hours per week assisting Mrs. Terry Stubblefield in the reception area in the front office. If you would be interested in volunteering to help in this way, please contact Terry or me here at school.
