Volunteers Needed

We are in desperate need of a couple of volunteers who would be willing to work up to ten hours per week assisting Mrs. Terry Stubblefield in the reception area in the front office. Duties would include answering the phone, taking messages, greeting visitors, and other duties in the reception area. If you would be interested in volunteering to help in this way, please contact Terry or me here at school.

Book Fair

Our Book Fair continues this week until February 11 from 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM. The Family Night will be tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. There will be four chances to win $25 in books at Family Night. Mrs. Shelley Rhoton always does a tremendous job organizing the Book Fair and is able to acquire new books and resources as a result of the fair. Last year she was able to acquire over $5,000 worth of books for the library. Thank you for your support of this event.

No School This Friday and Monday, February 12 and 15

Please do not forget the Chorus’s appearance at the Atlanta Braves-Philadelphia Phillies baseball game at Turner Field on Tuesday, June 1, at 7:00 PM. We are now taking orders for tickets. The cost is only $12 per ticket for members of our school community. Please go ahead and order those as soon as possible if you would like to attend. Tickets should be delivered next month, but we have already had to pay for them.

Please continue to check the Nashville TV stations to learn of school closings due to weather. If school is closed, that information will be posted on WKRN-2, WSMV-4, and FOX-17 as soon as that decision is made. An announcement would also be put on the blog.
