Newsletter

Dear Parents,

We are celebrating National School Choice Week this week.  We are so thankful you chose to send your children to BCS.  Boyd is one of 5,000 schools participating in National School Choice Week (January 26-February 1, 2014).  The goal of the Week is to shine a positive spotlight on all types of education options  for children- from traditional public schools to public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online learning and homeschooling.  To celebrate our school, we have a few special activities planned.  Tuesday- our students will write thank you letters to parents and/or grandparents.  Wednesday- students will write essays on why others should choose BCS too!  Thursday- we will have a school wide “snowball” (cotton ball) fight at 2 pm with scarves donated by National School Choice Week.  We will make pictures for the Southern Standard.  Friday is our 100th day of school.  Your child may dress as if they are 100 and we have many 100th day celebrations in individual classrooms all over school.  Again, thank you for choosing BCS!
